The size of the litters are mostly between 5 - 8 piglets but older or less good reproducing sows can have less than 4. There are for sure also sows who have bigger litters but as a Mangalitsa has mostly 10 sometimes 12 nipples bigger litters can be hard on the sow and the sow can get milked down (skinny) easier. Be also prepared that she might loose 1-2 by stepping or laying on them the first 48 hours when the litter is bigger than 8.
